Calling all angels – Befriending Angels Needed

Calling all angels – Befriending Angels Needed

Have you ever wanted to help people experiencing extreme trauma through personal violence, bereavement, crime, or homicide? angelhands Inc is dedicated to providing assistance to those people recovering from such extreme trauma.

What Angels Do

Trained Befriending Angels provide life-changing support to people coming to angelhands offices through their delivery of angelhands’ unique Befriending Program.

Angels Get Unique Training

We have limited places on our training programme for volunteer mentors to assist in ‘trauma recovery’. Through our befriending program, we will train you to enhance the lives of people recovering from extreme trauma.

Our specialised training program was developed and is delivered by Dr Ann O’Neill. In return you would be required to commit to delivering our Befriending Programme over a period of six months (4 hours per week); providing trauma, grief, empathy, and support to promote people’s mastery of their trauma systems.

You need to hold as a minimum a certificate level qualification in Human Services or Diploma in Counselling, or be working toward a degree in social work, social sciences, psychology, or the like.

Training Details

The Information session will be in held in our main office in Maylands on the 14th February from 8.30am to 12pm.

Training dates are in late February and early March in Maylands.
